When we were building our home, we knew very early on we wanted a wrap around porch. Since moving into our home, our screened in porch has quickly become one of our favorite spots to hang as a family. We’ve already outfitted the space with a daybed swing and seating area, but we also wanted a space where we could dine al fresco, and do so without breaking the bank. Here’s the deal, gang, I’m gonna let you in on a secret well known fact…….building a house is a costly little undertaking. Last I checked our property didn’t have a money tree on it, which is why I knew this little area was PERFECT for that high low mix. And lucky for us, walmart.com has totally elevated their home game
It’s not often I’m able to get this guy in front of the camera, but in honor of Father’s Day, there’s no better time to have his handsome mug on the blog! When Johnny’s not working, he loves to keep it casual yet still pulled together. He’s a guy after my own heart, because like his wife, he loves a good casually polished look with some sneaks. And he knows I LOVE him in a HAT
As I'm teeing up this post, I'm realizing Chase should've totally been today's author. Because no one can convey the love of her new bedroom better than she. If y'all may recall on move in day we only had her Bed from Birch Lane outfitted and well, based on her reaction (read: sheer and utter squeal worthy excitement), she was and still is simply over the moon
Happy Happy Easter, Gang! And April Fool's Day, which just so happens to be this gal's Bday!! In honor of my last year in my 30's (Holy Moses), let's share 39 random tidbits you may not know about me! Cheers to a wonderful day with your crew--and to my fellow Fools--Happy Bday...something tells me 39 is going to be one for the books!
So I think it's pretty safe to say that 2017 will go down as one of my best years yet! Not quite sure how 2018 can even begin to hold a candle to the birth of our sweet little bundle, John adopting the bunnies, or mom and pip making the cover of Redbook! It was a whirlwind of year but in the most beautiful way imaginable
Man, gang, this one overwhelms me right from the start. Probably more so than Calvin's Birthstory, our Wedding Day, or any of my other personal posts. I'd say it's because October 18th was a day I never really thought imaginable I suppose. For those of you that have followed s + s for sometime, you're well aware of our journey...and you've been supportive as hell throughout it all. But for those of you that are new, I won't dwell on the past, but the gals and I have overcome our fair share of heartache in recent year's past
We've had our sweet bundle for a little over five weeks now so I though it was high time to chat up some of Calvin's Favorite Things. The list is (kinda) long, but then again, in the world of baby--the gear is 'a plenty! Each of these items have been given Calvin's Seal of Approval aka--he digs 'em..which means Mom digs 'em
How does the saying go....."If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans." Well, it seems that on October 14, 2017 both God and Calvin had a good chuckle! Hang tight on this one gang, she'll be personal, emotional, and a touch lengthy but I'll wrap it up with some of my favorite shots from the day.
We're about two weeks into the Back to School scene, and I think we've finally gotten into our groove. We've all adjusted to the earlier morning wake up call, the afternoon activities, and the nighttime hustle. A solid rhythm indeed. The bunnies have been a little more into their fashion scenes this year than year's past
Alright, gang, as we close out 2016, it's only natural that we do a little reflection on the year and take a trip down 2016 Memory Lane. Now some will say 2016 was a bit of a bust be it for political reasons or what have you. I, on the other hand, am claiming 2016 as one of the best
