The “Hot Mom Walk”
The Hot Girl Walk — maybe you’ve heard of it, maybe you haven’t. I believe the term was coined during quarantine when we were desperately looking for something to keep us sane while staying safe. You’d change out of the PJs you’d been rocking for 3 days straight, break out your sneaks, put on your favorite playlist, and walk…for hours. While this was simply for a change of scenery, many of us built this ritual into our daily routine and now parks, trails, and sidewalks are flooded with hot gals doing their hot gal walk — or as I like to verrry loosely call it depending on the day my “hot mom walk".”
The foundation to every hot mom walk is a good ole pair of kicks. My tried and true are the Nike Air Max 270s…I’ve got a slight obsession with with these but they’re oh so good.
Lululemon Align leggings are another staple for my daily walks…or a pair of these Amazon shorts on a super hot day. For those chillier morning walks, I bring a cropped sweatshirt like this one from Lululemon that I can toss around my waist as the temps heat up. Next, the Lululemon belt bag makes it SO easy to tow my phone, chapstick, credit cards, etc. These puppies sell like hotcakes…many of you have recommended this Amazon dupe which comes in some an array of colors.
As far as accessories, I never walk without my Oura Ring. Aside from its many wonderful features like cycle and sleep tracking, I love that it collects data on my heart rate and activity level for instant feedback through the app.
Last, but certainly not least, a walk wouldn’t be complete without some jams. I was a bit skeptical of these Apple headphones due to their hefty price point but dang, these suckers are good. I can completely tune out and get in the zone listening to a podcast or my classic 80’s hits, making my long walks all the more enjoyable!
